We see all kinds of great DIY Halloween and haunted house projects that involve “finding a cool, cheap frame”. Unfortunately, the cheap frames we find aren’t cool, and the cool frames we find (even at thrift stores!) aren’t particularly cheap. In past years, we’ve taken to making our own from moulding from the hardware store and are sharing our secret to quick, cheap frames that look great in our haunts.
An 8 foot long piece of moulding only costs a few dollars at Home Depot, and a can of spray paint and bottle of glue will let you make several spooky frames. The corner braces we used are less than $3 for a 4 pack and add stability to the frame, but are not technically necessary.
